# Email deliverability

An email deliverability audit is a fixed-scope review of the authentication records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), domain reputation, sending practices and list quality that affect whether a company's marketing, sales and business emails reach the inbox. It is the entry product of Roicool's lead generation service.

### What does an email deliverability audit look at?

SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, the reputation of the sending domain and IP, Google Postmaster Tools data, spam complaint rate, list hygiene, sending volume and content structure.

### Why do our emails land in spam?

The most common causes are missing or incorrect authentication records, high bounce and complaint rates, sudden jumps in volume, unverified lists and content that triggers spam filters. The audit shows which of these apply to you.

### How long does the audit take?

Once we have access, we usually deliver the report within a few business days and walk you through it on a call.

### Do you set up DMARC?

The audit report gives the correct records and the order to apply them in; if you have DNS access, your team can set them up with us, or you can hand the work over to us.

### Should marketing email and outbound use the same domain?

For high-volume outbound, a separate sending domain protects the reputation of your main domain. The report recommends which domain to use for which kind of sending.
