# Firebase Analytics consulting and mobile measurement

Firebase and mobile measurement covers measuring user behavior in iOS and Android apps with Google Analytics in Firebase, and tying app installs and in-app conversions to their ad sources. ## FAQ

### Are Firebase Analytics and GA4 the same thing?

Google Analytics in Firebase sends app data to your GA4 property, so mobile app data follows GA4's data model and can be seen alongside web data in the same property.

### How do we measure which ad an app install came from?

Google Ads uses the Firebase link, other networks need a mobile measurement partner (MMP), and on iOS SKAdNetwork data is used. Which ones you need depends on your ad channels.

### How do you work with our developers?

We write the event plan, parameters and test scenarios; your developers add the SDK and event code to the app. We test and validate together in DebugView.

### How does the iOS permission prompt (ATT) affect measurement?

When a user does not give permission, the device ID cannot be used for ad measurement, so some ad-driven installs and conversions are modeled or reported in aggregate. We build the measurement plan with this in mind.

### Can we see app and web users together?

Web and app streams can sit in the same GA4 property; for signed-in users, user\_id makes cross-platform analysis possible.
