Why Webflow?

Webflow vs WordPress: which one, for whom?

Webflow is a SaaS platform that runs hosting and updates for you, with visual development and a built-in CMS. WordPress is open-source software you host yourself and extend with plugins. The choice depends on your team, your maintenance capacity and how much customisation you need.

Frequently asked questions

  1. Will we lose SEO when moving from WordPress to Webflow?

With proper planning, no lasting loss is expected. A URL inventory, a 301 redirect map, keeping the metadata and monitoring after launch are the basis of the migration; there may be short-term fluctuation.

  2. Can our blog posts be moved automatically?

Yes. Posts, categories, authors and images can be imported into the Webflow CMS by CSV or API. Formatting and shortcodes in the content are cleaned up before import.

  3. Is there a Webflow equivalent for our WordPress plugins?

For most of them, yes: forms, SEO settings, multiple languages and structured data are covered by Webflow's own features or by integrations. For functions with no equivalent, we plan a solution before the migration.

  4. Will the site be down during the migration?

No. The new site is built and tested in a separate environment and goes live with a DNS change; visitors see no downtime.

  5. Can we keep our current design?

Yes; the current design can be rebuilt in Webflow. Most brands also use the migration as a chance to improve the design and information architecture.
